Fresh off the heels of winning 24 games in a row, the Penticton Tigers 18U AAA team is set to head to the provincials in late July as B.C.'s top team.

The Tigers, led by manager Josh Snider, have roared to the top of the provincial standings in 2024 after posting a record of 33-1-1, as of June 27.

Penticton will be in Cloverdale from July 25 to 28, for the end-of-season tournament.

The winner of the provincials will represent B.C. on the national stage in Chilliwack from Aug. 16 to 18, at the 2024 Western Canadian Championships.

Snider, who won his 100th career game in Kelowna on June 18, is looking to lead the 18U squad back to the provincial finals. The team lost 5-4 in the finals last year, falling to the North Shore Baseball Association.

The Tigers clinched the top spot in the 18U AAA standings at the beginning of June, doing so with a run differential of +178.

Before the team booked its ticket to the 2024 provincials, Penticton slugger Linden Moore was named the BC Baseball U18 AAA Player of the Month for May.

Moore recorded 13 hits and drove in 12 runs, while posting an average at the plate of .500.

The Tigers are in Kamloops this weekend for the Sussex Canada Day Tournament and will head to Vancouver Island shortly after, for regular-season showdowns with Cowichan Valley and Victoria respectively.

Penticton will then take a trip south to Moses Lake, Wash., Snider's hometown, for the Riverdog Memorial Tournament before the Cloverdale-hosted provincials begin in late July.
