Summerland Recreation and PacificSport Okanagan are working in partnership to offer a variety of pop-up summer programs, summer camps and occasional events in the community during the summer.

A staff member has been hired to hold free PacificSport park popup activities, skate park events, Spikeball games, PLAY skills camps and more.

The list of events for the first three weeks of July has been posted on the municipal website and Facebook page. The list will be updated as events are added or weather challenges are presented.

Registered sports camp programs are also available.

The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society will attend two Freestyle Friday Skate Park events. The brain-injury society will offer free helmet fittings, safety tips, watermelon drops, snacks, music and lawn games.

In addition, the staff member will work with the brain-injury society’s positive ticket program, providing positive ticket prizes to those wearing helmets.

Full information is available online at summerland.ca/parks-recreation/schedules or by following Summerland Recreation on Facebook.
